COMPLETE DENTURES

Complete dentures are made for people who are missing all of their natural teeth. Dentures that fit properly can improve your eating, speaking, and appearance. They can positively improve your appearance by changing the shape of your face and reducing facial creases at the corners of your lips.

Partial Dentures

Wearing a partial denture helps your remaining teeth stay in position. When there are spaces between teeth, the teeth may drift or tip causing stress on the tissues. Tipped teeth are difficult to clean and therefore more prone to tooth decay and periodontal disease. A partial denture makes chewing easier and more comfortable by replacing the missing teeth. Additionally, there are benefits to speech and appearance, since your teeth help to make proper sounds as well as maintain the natural shape of your face with lip and cheek support.

Bridges/Crowns

In order to strengthen a tooth which no longer has sufficient structure left to place a filling, crowns (sometimes referred to as caps), may be utilized. It is similar to placing a thimble over your finger.
A bridge spans a space where one or more teeth have been lost in the same area, due to a variety of reasons. When a permanent tooth is lost, the neighboring teeth are affected. Because the support and chewing forces are altered, the remaining teeth will begin to shift. The tooth above or below the missing tooth will begin to move up and out of its socket. If the missing tooth is not replaced, more teeth may eventually be lost.
